Mackin received her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2020 from Georgia State University. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Georgia in 2016, where she was a member of the women’s soccer team. As a member of the UGA women’s soccer team, Mackin was the soccer ambassador for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, a four time NCAA SEC Academic Honor Roll student, and a Top 10 Caterpillar Scholar Athlete.
During her time at GSU, Mackin participated in research and service learning projects where she gained experience with on-field evaluations and ACL prevention programs.
Growing up playing competitive soccer, Mackin experienced several injuries both first-hand and second-hand that guided her to pursue a career in PT. In her free time, she enjoys staying active with spin classes and HIIT circuits, playing soccer, and exploring Atlanta with her family and friends.
